Spooktacular Spots to Visit

This Halloween Season

Boo! Spooky season is upon us, and the Halloween countdown is on. While some may prefer pumpkin patches and milder fall activities, others revel in the spine-tingling excitement of hair-raising thrills. That’s why we created a list of three spooktacular spots to visit in the Olde English District before November rolls around.

SCarowinds

SCarowinds, presented by Carowinds, is arguably the largest Halloween event in the Carolinas, and it is back for another year of haunting. Every corner of the theme park is lined with horrifying haunted mazes, scare zones and live entertainment. Carowinds’ rides are also up and running during the evening’s event. SCarowinds will be open select nights starting September 13, 2024, through October 27, 2024. After a visit here, you’ll want to sleep with the lights on.

Start at the museum and end the excursion at Main & Academy streets in Fort Mill. This is a ticketed event that is held every Thursday through Saturday in October at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.

Haunted Chester Ghost Tours of the 1914 Jail

Do you still believe in ghosts? If not, you may just change your mind after a walk through the four-story 1914 Chester County Jail. Just two days a year, the jail offers both ghost and paranormal tours of one of Chester County’s most haunted destinations.
