Carowinds To Operate Year Round

The Southeast’s favorite amusement park will be in operation all year long starting in 2023. Carowinds, a theme park in both Charlotte, NC and Fort Mill, SC, announced earlier this week that it would be open longer starting this winter.

During the summer months, visitors can enjoy access to Camp Snoopy kids’ area, Carolina Harbor Waterpark, and more than 60 rides, shows, and other attractions. In mid-September through October, the park transforms into SCarowinds, a stomping ground for goblins and ghouls. WinterFest, Carowinds’ immersive holiday event, historically begins in November and is open select nights through Christmas to wrap up the season. 

Now, after all the holiday fun is over, the park will remain in operation until the spring festivities resume. Visitors can expect rides, dining and other park activities during the expanded winter weekends.
