Day 1:
01 Morning
Ease into the day with a fun-filled visit to Bush-N-Vine Farm in York. Depending on the season, pick various fruits and vegetables, transforming your morning into a playful harvest. Browse through the farm market and pick up some souvenirs, local products, or additional farm-fresh treats. Grab a warm doughnut or snack at the Farm Café to keep your energy levels up for your next adventure.
Continue the farm explorations at Cherry Place Farm, a family-owned and operated farm where you can gather strawberries, pumpkins or flowers, depending on the season. Take the opportunity to introduce the little ones to the farm animals, such as goats and chickens.
Get a barbecue plate at Sweet Caroline’s in McConnells—a delicious barbecue joint that’s sure to hit the spot before you set off for your next stop.
02 Afternoon
Make your way to the Town of Lowrys for a pit stop at Cotton Hills Farm. Depending on the season, pick your own strawberries in April-June; peaches, tomatoes, flowers, and garden veggies in the summer; pumpkins in autumn; and collards in winter. Make sure to check out the on-site market, which sells canned goods, fresh produce, ice cream and other treats.
With baskets full of fresh farm produce in tow, it’s time to settle down for dinner. Choose between Vinny’s Taste of Italy for an authentic Italian meal or Hillside Restaurant & Bar for classic American dishes.
Call it a night at either the Inn Upon Moon River Plantation Blues B&B or the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Richburg. The historic Inn Upon Moon River offers a unique lodging experience, presenting itself as a blues and jazz museum. The inn’s charm is complemented by music-themed rooms and a relaxing front porch with rocking chairs. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Richburg provides a more contemporary stay with various amenities.
